Detailed 10 Days Botswana Safari Itinerary Guide

Day 1 – 2: Explore the Scenic Makgadikgadi | 2 Nights

Botswana

Botswana Episode 1! Makgadikgadi Salt Pans and Dust.

Your tiny plane travel to Leroo La Tau begins with a meeting at Maun Airport, where you will be helped through the check-in process. Leroo La Tau offers an enthralling wildlife experience, nestled beside Botswana’s Boteti River and with Makgadikgadi Pans National Park as a backdrop. In addition to predator sightings throughout the year, the area is famous for seasonal zebra and wildebeest gatherings during the migration months of November to May.

During your two nights here, you’ll have the chance to spend a full day exploring the National Park on a guided wildlife drive. You can have lunch in camp or in the reserve; it all depends on the day. Before high tea and your afternoon activities, take some time to unwind, cool off in the pool, and catch a little nap after lunch. At the conclusion of the day, you can cap it off with a fantastic sundowner. Stories told over the campfire and hearty camp dinners are the highlights of camp evenings. Return to your cozy tent after a fulfilling day and listen to the nocturnal sounds of the Kalahari.

Day 3 – 4: A Classic Okavango Safari | 2 Nights

Okavango Delta, Botswana

Returning to the airfield for your subsequent flight to the Okavango Delta’s waterways follows a last morning at Leroo La Tau, where you can enjoy breakfast while viewing the Boteti River. You will be spending the next two nights at Camp Okavango, a popular campsite that has been entertaining visitors for years.

The Okavango Delta, sometimes called the “Garden of Eden” of Africa, is home to the camp, which is situated on the secluded Nxaragha Island. Located on a year-round water channel in the delta, this water wilderness offers an unforgettable experience all year round. Depending on the water levels, visitors can explore this aquatic paradise by motorboat or mokoro, which are fiberglass boats based on a traditional dugout design.

The main lodge has a pool for relaxation, a curio shop for souvenir shopping, a wildlife reference library for learning about the local flora and fauna, a cozy lounge for gathering or relaxing, and a bar with all the drinks you could want. You can unwind in any of several spots with breathtaking views of the delta.

Day 5 – 6: Discover the Elephant Herds of Chobe | 2 Nights

Chobe National Park, Botswana

Following yet another delectable breakfast, you will be whisked away from the verdant Okavango Rivers to the game-rich Chobe region via spectacular air transfer. A vehicle will be waiting for you at Kasane Airport to take you to Chobe Game Lodge, which is situated on the banks of the Chobe River within the world-famous Chobe National Park in Botswana.

During the dry season, which lasts from June to October, the abundant floodplains of Chobe attract herds of elephants, making it the elephant capital of Africa. Not only are elephants prevalent in this area, but crocodiles, lions, buffalo, and hippos are all common sights. Furthermore, Chobe offers a rich avian show that is among the best in Southern Africa for birdwatching.

Guests staying at the resort for two nights can also look forward to participating in water sports due to the property’s riverfront location. Sunset cruises on bigger riverboats are famous Chobe experiences, while smaller motorboats offer a more up-close encounter with the wildlife. Particularly during the rainy season, when the river seems to go on forever due to its width. The use of open-top electric game viewers for all park game drives reduces environmental impact and noise pollution.

Day 7: Your Botswana Adventure Comes to an End

Enjoy your final breakfast by the riverside before saying goodbye and preparing to be driven to Kasane Airport, your next destination.
