At 07:30, you’ll have breakfast. After that, your canoeing guide will give you a rundown of the trip, including any potentially harmful animals, how to stay safe while canoeing and at the campgrounds.

Starting at the jetty, the journey continues downstream. It is the backup boat’s responsibility to arrange for a tea stop. After that, the backup boat will supply lunch while you take a break. You continue downstream after lunch.

In order to establish camp, the backup boat heads ahead. We reach the island-based Buffalo Beans Campsite in the late afternoon. Upon your arrival, all the necessary amenities will be set up, including tents, bedrolls, restrooms, a drop toilet, and a bucket shower. You will always be given with dinner, along with fresh water and juice to drink.

Day 3: Lower Zambezi National Park Game Drive Safari

The day will begin with a mini-breakfast, followed by early tea/coffee and snacks. A motorboat will then collect you from the lodge, along with your packed lunch. You will discover a 4×4 open-sided safari car at the Chongwe Conference, which is reached by an early morning adventure boat.

At this point, you can pay the park’s entrance fee and get on the bus, where your guide will brief you. After a morning of game viewing in this beautiful park, your guide will break for breakfast and then keep you busy until lunchtime in the bush, which is around 1 o’clock in the afternoon. Enjoy some downtime before continuing your journey until approximately 3 p.m., when you will make your way back to the Chongwe Confluences to catch the 1.5-hour boat ride. A perfect way to end the day is to return to the lodge just before nightfall.

After that, you’ll head back to your accommodation to get some rest and freshen up before dinner, which will be served while gazing out over the river and the stars. Following supper, you are welcome to peruse the bar for a refreshing drink before turning in for the night.

Day 4: Road Transfer to Lusaka Intl Airport

Depending on your departure date out of Lusaka or your onward arrangements, our driver will transport you to Lusaka International Airport via a 2.5- to 3-hour road journey after breakfast. You will need to check out of the lodge at this point.
