Tour Overview: 6 Days in Masai Mara
This 6 Days in Masai Mara: The Perfect Wildebeest Migration Safari is ultimately your best opportunity to see the top wildlife viewing places in Kenya, set against the spectacular backdrops of the Maasai steppe, limitless grasslands, and the Great Rift Valley. The Masai Mara reserve is well recognized for its natural wonder, the wildebeest migration from Kenya’s Masai Mara across the Mara River to Tanzania’s Serengeti. In July, August, and September, around 1.5 million wildebeest alias gnu, antelopes, and zebras cross the Mara River from Kenya. The number of wild animals you will see up close will astound you. Almost every form of wildlife known in Kenya is featured here.
This 6 Days in Masai Mara in Masai Mara National Reserve is only available during the migration months of mid-June to October, when over a million wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes swarm the huge plains of the Mara, adding to the awe of this natural wonder. This is an opportunity not only to observe the migration, but also to see all five of the big five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino, as well as many other creatures and birds, in the Masai Mara plain.

Meet our native guide in Nairobi at 07:00 hours to begin your fantastic Masai Mara Safari. The drive should take about 5 hours and will take you across beautiful escarpments and panoramic views of the broad floors of the Great Rift Valley, which are densely forested with patches of whistling thorn acacia trees. The Great Rift Valley gives place to rolling shrubland, mostly wooded bushland, and riverine flora along streams and dry river beds.
As you drive, you will see the Loita plains with the Loita Hills in the distance. We arrive at our camp in the afternoon, just in time for lunch, before heading out on your first date with the African wild on an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve.
