Day 2: Nyungwe Forest National Park, Rwanda
You have the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center scheduled to visit today. In addition to paying tribute to the hundreds of thousands of people murdered in the mid-1990s Rwandan genocide, this moving memorial also gives survivors a platform to share their experiences.
Travel on to Butare, the cultural center of Rwanda, making pit stops at Nyanza’s King’s Palace and the Rwandan National Museum. As one of the top museums in Africa, it houses priceless relics from the country’s tribal leaders, monarchy, and colonial era, as well as unique pre-colonial pictures.
