Day 1 – 3: Mfuwe Lodge, South Luangwa National National Park
Mfuwe Lodge – Zambian Tourism
Immerse yourself in Luangwa culture with a two-night stay at the renowned Mfuwe Lodge. Under a canopy of ebony and mahogany, its thatched houses surround two lagoons. The extended deck offers a variety of uses, including outdoor eating, watching games from the comfort of an armchair, and finding shade near the pool.
The lodge’s light and airy interior has been adorned with comfortable seats, beautiful botanical print pillows, art pieces inspired by Africa, and unique décor features.
With 18 thatched, air-conditioned cabins to choose from, you may have your very own slice of Africa. A feeling of oneness with nature is yours to enjoy as you step out onto the peaceful covered verandas through the sliding glass doors. From there, you can see the thirsty animals in the lagoons and the wallowing hippos. Modern elements and meticulous attention to detail in the soft furnishings reflect the outdoors.
Day 3 – 5: Kuyenda Bushcamp, South Luangwa National Park
Kuyenda Bushcamp…a timeless safari destination
After breakfast, hop in an open game viewer and take it easy for an hour on the way to Kuyenda Bushcamp, your home for the next three nights.
What makes Kuyenda unique is without dispute. Located under the shade of the Manzi River, this cluster of traditional thatched grass huts captures the essence of old Africa with their spacious raised decks, outdoor en-suite baths, and emphasis on getting back to nature.
For those seeking a small-group adventure into the South Luangwa’s breathtaking wildlife, Kuyenda is the ideal destination, thanks to its legendary hospitality, delectable cuisine, and first-rate guides.
Here, the walking safari reigns supreme; it’s our claim to fame. With the help of our knowledgeable guides, you will be able to uncover the hidden wonders of the bush, where you may observe exotic birds and animals and have an adventure you will never forget.
You can also go on game drives in the morning or in the afternoon or evening. When the sun goes down, a different group of people takes over the scenery. During the peaceful periods in camp, unwind in the lounge while gazing out over the nearby plain’s undulating grasses, where the daily drama of the African wilderness is staged.
