Extraordinary South Luangwa Photographic Safari

Go on game drives with a small photography group (no more than five people) in Zambia’s world-renowned South Luangwa National Park.

More than sixty different kinds of mammals call South Luangwa home. These include the endangered wild dog, hippo, giraffe, lion, leopard, wildebeest, zebra, antelope, and buffalo. Photographic opportunities abound in the valley, which is home to more than 400 bird species.

Skilled and enthusiastic safari guides lead each game drive. From complete amateurs to seasoned pros, photographers of all skill levels are invited.

In this welcoming space, you may pick the brains of other photographers about any aspect of photography.

A specially-adapted photography safari vehicle equipped with swing arms to support clamps and camera attachments will be at your disposal during your adventure. The game drive vehicle can only carry a maximum of five passengers, including the photographer guide, so that everyone has a good view.

With the canvas top removed, you may shoot in 180 degrees vertically and 360 degrees horizontally because the vehicle is totally open.

You may always reach out to your photography guide for help, whether it’s going over your shots in detail when you get back to camp or learning how to edit your photos.

Taking a one-on-one approach like this will give you the greatest shot at becoming a better wildlife photographer.

At the camp, you’ll find two picture hides that you can use for your trip. Animals frequent the waterholes here, particularly during the dry month, making for excellent photo ops.
