Extraordinary South Luangwa And Victoria Falls Safari Itinerary
Take a flight to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, and then a scenic flight to South Luangwa National Park, which is home to over 60 mammal species and 400 bird species. Explore the bush on foot to get up close and personal with the wildlife, or keep an eye out for the park’s famous leopards. After your South Luangwa And Victoria Falls Safari, head to the jaw-dropping Victoria Falls. There are plenty of places to see the falls, but for an adrenaline rush, you can swim in Devil’s Pool, which is situated right on the edge of the 100-meter-high falls.
South Luangwa National Park
The Luangwa River and South Luangwa National Park are home to a wide variety of wildlife due to the abundance of flora in these areas. Large herds of elephants, buffalo, impala, and puku, among other antelope species, are common. Antilope species include sable, roan, grysbok, oribi, reedbuck, eland, kudu, and Lichtenstein’s hartebeest. Species such as Cookson’s wildebeest and Thornicroft’s giraffe are found nowhere else on Earth, and leopard watching in this area is second to none.
Predators in South Luangwa Park mostly include lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, and feral dogs. An amazing adventure awaits you during the dry season of the Luangwa River, when all the animals are forced to gather along its banks. Humpback whales provide sustenance for local lion prides, yellow baboons provide a stark contrast to their southern relatives, and the once-endangered wild dog is thriving.
Victoria Falls
Join us for an unforgettable experience at Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you want to see the falls at their most spectacular, April or May is the best time to visit. The water levels are at their highest in April, but the geological formations of the falls are at their most pure in the dry season (especially October and November). Along with great wildlife, the area offers numerous safari possibilities, especially between May and October.
