‘Test The Best’ Rafting on the Zambezi River Beginner’s Guide

This exhilarating rafting excursion will take you through some of the greatest rapids the Zambezi has to offer. Many believe the river below Victoria Falls to be the world’s finest rafting river. Class 3–5 rapids and placid pools are features of the Zambezi River, a deep-channeled, high-volume river.

This allows you to experience some of the world’s most thrilling and difficult rapids while marveling at the breathtaking beauty of the Batoka Gorge!!!

  • Pick up around 7:45 by our vehicles directly from your accommodation in Livingstone.
  • Check-in next to the Victoria Falls.
  • Free Swimming under the Victoria Falls (depending on water level).
  • Free video of the day´s trip
  • Rafting from Rapid 1 to Rapid 7 which are considered to be the best on the Zambezi.
  • Drinks at the top of the gorge above Rapid 7 before return to Livingstone.
  • Return to your accommodation at approximately 11:30hrs.
  • The best option to take if time is limited and you absolutely want to experience the best rafting the Zambezi can offer!
  • the given time include pick-up from accommodation in town, safety briefing, walks down and up the gorge, transfer back to town

Departure Times: Daily (July/August – January) 08:00hrs – 11:30hrs.

Fitness Level: You need to be in average shape. Because you have to use wooden ladders for part of the descent and ascent, the gorge walk is strenuous. Requirements: 15 years of age and a maximum weight of 120 kg.

Packing List: Sandals, Running shoes or tennis shoes that don’t mind getting wet (no flip-flops!), sun cream. Quick drying shorts. Personal medication if required.
