A nation with breathtaking scenery and the greatest concentration of primates in Africa, Uganda is known as the Pearl of Africa. In just 12 days, you can see every top attraction in Uganda, including chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, tree-climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and mountain gorillas in Bwindi National Park. You’ll also take a boat ride to Murchison Falls and see huge Nile crocodiles. A private island in the middle of the Nile is the perfect place to end your vacation. Day by Day 12 Days in Uganda Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a private driver and guide will be waiting for you. Uganda is home to some of the warmest people you will ever meet, and they will be happy to greet you. The next stop is at the Serena Lake Victoria Hotel, where your guide will drop you off. As you spend your first night in Uganda, you may take use of this hotel’s many amenities while gazing out over the majestic Lake Victoria.

Day 2 & 3: Murchison Falls National Park


Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda

You and your private driver/guide will begin your tour after breakfast. The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary should be your initial destination. Join a guided walking safari in Uganda and walk among the country’s reintroduced white rhinos. You will be driven to the world-famous Murchison Falls in the afternoon.

Grassland, the Borassus Palm Forest, and savannah await you on another game drive that will lead you to Lake Albert. Many animals call this region home, including lions, leopards, hyenas, buffalo, elephants, and jackhearts. African ostrich, Ugandan kob, or oribi. Visitors can see a vast array of birds in the park, such as the Secretary Bird, Carmine and Swallow-Tailed Bee-Eaters, Black Chested Snake Eagles, Tawny and Marshal Eagles, and many more.

Another activity is a boat excursion to Murchison Falls, which is located on the Nile. When you reach the falls, climb up to the point where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter opening; at the base of the falls, you may observe enormous Nile crocodiles sunbathing.

Day 4 & 5: Kibale National Park

Leaving from Kasese Airstrip after breakfast, you will drive to Kibale National Park, passing numerous tea farms on the route. Stop at Fort Portal on the route. Your overnight destination, Ndali Lodge, will be reached in the afternoon. Perched on a hill, the resort offers breathtaking views.

In Kibale National Park, you will meet your guide for chimpanzee trekking.

One hundred and thirty-three primate species, including chimpanzees, call this park home. These magnificent apes call Kibale Forest, a thick and diverse tropical forest, home. At the headquarters of Kibale Forest, you will have a briefing where the details, safety measures, and chimpanzee behaviours will be reviewed. You will start your walk through the jungle in search of the chimpanzees once you and a ranger have been allocated to a group.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park


Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda

A morning wildlife drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park will kick off your day. More than a hundred different kinds of mammals call this park home. Among them are the elusive big forest hog, buffalo, hippo, hyena, and lion.

Afternoon boat rides on the Kazinga Channel are on the agenda. Elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species will all be within your reach if you do this. It’s a breathtakingly lovely event.

Day 7 – 9: Bwindi National Park

You will take a game drive in the southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park en way to Bwindi National Park. The local tree-climbing lions are the main attraction in this region, which is known as Ishasha.

You will begin your gorilla trip here! Gorilla trekking regulations and logistics will be briefed at the park headquarters after a hearty meal (you’ll need it for energy). Six individuals, consisting of rangers, trackers, and porters, make up each group. You will start your quest to locate the gorilla group once you are assigned to a group. Get ready to walk because this could take anywhere from two to six hours! You will have an hour to enjoy their company once you locate them. That was an eye-opening event.

Day 10 & 11: Jinja

A natural walk in the park will follow your early breakfast, and then you will drive to Jinja. Jinja, host to the Nile River’s source and the country’s second-largest municipality, was founded in 1907.

The Wild Waters Lodge, situated on an island in the middle of the Nile River, will be your home for the following two nights. White water rafting on the Nile, jet skiing, kayaking, and fishing are just a few of the water-based sports offered by the lodge. Riding a bike or a horse around the nearby farms and villages could be more your speed.

Day 12: Entebbe

Embark on a boat ride along the Nile’s headwaters this morning before stopping by the Jinja market to pick up some souvenirs to bring back home. After that, you’ll be taken back to Entebbe to catch your next flight.
