Detailed Itinerary: 7 Days Safari in Bwindi And Kidepo

Day 1: Flight Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

Take an early-morning flight to Bwindi Forest National Park to begin the incredible, private, and exclusive Bwindi and Kidepo Safari trip. You will be transported by car to Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge/Four Gorillas Lodge after a two-hour flight to Kisoro. While the journey to Clouds is breath-taking and gives you a sense of the mountain gorilla, the flight to Kisoro is picturesque over rolling hills. Prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking trip by enjoying the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 2 & 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Experience

The time has come for the ultimate gorilla trekking experience. You will be escorted to the briefing location this morning, and then you will begin the trip into the bush to see the mountain gorillas. You will descend into the jungle in search of the gorillas with a packed lunch, a personal porter, and a ranger guide to assist with carrying your gear. After spending an hour with them once you’ve located them, you’ll head back to the inn. On Day 3, you will go to the Batwa Community—the guardians of the forest—to hear about their traditional way of life, which included living with gorillas in Bwindi before they were expelled and before UNESCO designated the forest as a world heritage site. The day is roughed up by a private, exclusive Sun-downer in the evening and a well-lit bonfire.

Huge herds of elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, antelopes, lions perched atop rocky outcrops, elusive leopards, cheetahs, and other animals can all be seen there. All of this is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and naturally forming mountain ranges, which create sunsets that are unmatched by anything else.
