Detailed Itinerary: 7 Days Kibale Semuliki Bwindi Safari

Day 1: Flight Transfer to Kibale National Park

On You will be driven to Entebbe Airport this morning to catch a connecting flight to Kasese Airstrip. When you arrive, a representative from our company will welcome you and drive you to Fort Portal at the stunning Kyaninga Lodge. You have the option of continuing to unwind or going for a tour around Kyanninga Crater in Crater Lake. An alternative is to take a tour of the neighborhood.

Day 2 : Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Semuliki National Park

On the second day, you will go to Kibale Forest National Park early in the morning to participate in the chimpanzee trekking experience. A ranger guide will lead you into the forest to look for the nearest cousins of modern humans. You will travel by car to Semuliki National Park after the trek. To enjoy a fantastic sundowner and some downtime, you should arrive in the afternoon. In Semuliki, there is a lovely pool with a view of the forest, where monkeys and many bird species may be seen playing.

You will go on a private walking safari for a bush breakfast this morning with a ranger guide. After receiving morning tea or coffee, you embark on a walking safari to find wildlife, bringing you even closer. Return to the lodge after the walking safari to enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. You can choose to go on nighttime wildlife drives, take a boat out on Lake Albert to observe the shoebill, or go bird watching.

Day 4: Flight Transfer To Bwindi National Park

You will transfer to an airport this morning in order to catch an aircraft to Bwindi Forest National Park. While the journey to Clouds is breath-taking and gives you a sense of the mountain gorilla, the flight to Kisoro is picturesque over rolling hills. Enjoy your free time as you get ready for your next day of gorilla trekking.

Day 5 & 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Trail Experience

The time has come for the ultimate gorilla trekking experience. You will be escorted to the briefing location this morning, and then you will begin the trip into the bush to see the mountain gorillas. You will descend into the jungle in search of the gorillas with a packed lunch, a personal porter, and a ranger guide to assist with carrying your gear. After spending an hour with them once you’ve located them, you’ll head back to the inn. On Day 6, you will go to the Batwa Community—the guardians of the forest—to hear about their traditional way of life, which included living with gorillas in Bwindi before they were expelled and before UNESCO designated the forest as a world heritage site. The day is roughed up by a private, exclusive Sun-downer in the evening and a well-lit bonfire.
