Detailed South Luangwa Luxury Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Meet & Greet / Flight to Mfuwe

Our agent will be waiting for you at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) in Lusaka. They will help you with your bags and get you on the local flight to Mfuwe in South Luangwa.

After a warm welcome from a guide from Mfuwe Lodge, your wonderful Zambian safari begins with a transfer to the lodge, followed by a 45-minute drive through the Mfuwe settlement area. En route, you will make a pit stop at the park’s main gate entrance, where you will spend the first three nights of your adventure.

After you check in, you can relax for the remainder of the evening before dinner and retiring for the night.

Day 2 & 3: Explore South Luangwa National Park


Let’s Explore Zambia – South Luangwa National Park

In the mornings, after breakfast, you’ll go on a game drive or walking safari in South Luangwa National Park. In the afternoons, you’ll return for brunch and some free time. This itinerary covers two full days of exploration.

In the late afternoon, guests are treated to tea or coffee. Then, they embark on an afternoon wildlife drive, which turns into a night safari as they look for nocturnal species like the elusive leopard. After a long day, guests return to the lodge for dinner and bedtime.

Day 4: Transfer to Mfuwe Airport/Flight to Lusaka

After you eat breakfast, you’ll have the option to participate in a morning activity or be transferred to Mfuwe airport in time for your local flight to Lusaka, depending on your flight schedule.
